Becozinc Capsule is Dr. Reddy’s everyday B-complex with zinc. One capsule contains vitamin C 150 mg, B1 10 mg, B2 10 mg, B6 3 mg, B12 15 mcg, niacinamide 50 mg, calcium pantothenate 12.5 mg, folic acid 1 mg, and zinc sulphate monohydrate 54.93 mg, about 20 mg of elemental zinc. It is meant for people whose diet is thin, who are recovering, or who have been on antibiotics for a long stretch and feel run down. It fills a gap. It does not treat an infection by itself. Take one a day with food. It is a nutritional supplement, not a prescription medicine.

How Does It Work?
B vitamins help the body turn food into energy and keep nerves and blood cells working. If they run low, tiredness and a poor appetite show up. Zinc is part of many enzymes that heal skin and help immune cells do their job. Vitamin C is used in normal defence and in collagen. The capsule supplies these. It cannot replace a meal, and it cannot kill the germ an antibiotic was prescribed for.
Directions For Use
Take one capsule once a day, unless a doctor sets a different dose.
Swallow it whole with water, with or after food. An empty stomach can make you feel sick.
Do not chew it.
If you also take a quinolone or tetracycline antibiotic, leave about 2 hours between that tablet and Becozinc. Zinc can block those antibiotics.
Do not take a second zinc or B-complex capsule the same day unless a doctor has asked you to.
Yellow-green urine is common from vitamin B2. It is harmless.
Safety Information
Not a prescription medicine. Still tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or a zinc problem.
Do not use it as the only treatment for anaemia. B12 deficiency needs a proper check, not folic acid alone.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should ask before starting any extra zinc or folic acid, especially if they already take a prenatal vitamin.
Stop if you get a rash, severe stomach pain, or vomiting.
Too much zinc for months can upset copper balance. Stick to one capsule a day.
Keep out of children’s reach. A handful of zinc capsules is not safe.
Store below 30°C, away from moisture and sunlight.
Possible Side Effects
Nausea if taken on an empty stomach
Mild stomach upset
Bright yellow urine from riboflavin
Metallic taste (uncommon)
Rare allergy
FAQs
Q1. What is Becozinc Capsule used for?
Ans. It tops up B vitamins, vitamin C, and zinc when food has been poor, during recovery, or after a long course of antibiotics. It supports energy and everyday immunity.
Q2. Is Becozinc a prescription medicine?
Ans. No. It is a nutritional supplement from Dr. Reddy’s. You still should not pile it on top of another zinc or multivitamin unless a doctor has said that is fine.
Q3. Why is my urine bright yellow?
Ans. That is usually vitamin B2 leaving the body. It looks alarming and is harmless. You do not need to stop the capsule for yellow urine alone.
Q4. Can I take it with my antibiotic?
Ans. Not at the same time if the antibiotic is a quinolone or a tetracycline. Zinc can block those. Leave about two hours between them. Ask your pharmacist if you are unsure.
Q5. Will one capsule cure tiredness?
Ans. Only if the tiredness is from a lack of these nutrients. Poor sleep, thyroid trouble, or anaemia need their own check. Give the diet and the capsule a few weeks, then review.
Q6. How should Becozinc capsules be stored?
Ans. Keep the strip below 30°C, away from moisture and sunlight. Store it out of children’s reach and do not use it after the expiry date.
